Darlings! The weekend is almost upon us, and as due diligence, it is my responsibility to get your weekend started with some ideas as to how to do your makeup for your night out with the girls! Today we’ll be discussing the super bold smokey eye and how you can pull that look as well without looking like a raccoon!

For PHXFW we did a very bold black smokey eye as seen here on Kenzie.

As you can see, it is super dramatic. Now a lot of of don’t feel comfortable in wearing such a dark look, especially if we’re not going to be coming down the catwalk any time soon.  So instead, you can opt to a softer smokey look like I did for Pyland.

What I ended up doing is by using the Naked 2 palette and using the following shades:

– Half baked on the lid to the crease

– Snakebite on the crease

– Blackout to the outer eye

Make sure that you blend and diffuse Blackout with Snakebite to give it that smoldering look.  Always remember to highlight your brow bone and use mascara on those lashes and keep your lips a nice neutral shade.  Contour your cheeks lightly, we want to give some definition to your face.

Pro Tip: Make sure to tap your brush after applying the shadow to it so that you don’t have any reside fall on your cheeks as it can leave a trail of dark eye shadow once you’re ready to blend everything together.
