With only being in the New Year exactly 6 days, I, just as many of you, have goals and resolutions that we’d like to keep. Whether it’s going to the gym at least 4-5 times a week, or stop biting your nails, here are some resolutions that we should definitely try and keep.

Brushing hair when wet. It’s a hard thing to do, but, try using a comb and always start from your ends and work your way up to your roots to avoid breakage.

Moisturizing immediately after you shower. This should be something that you should be doing already, all the time, every day.

Get weekly pedicures. You don’t have to go to the nail salon each week. Go once a month and just maintain your toes by changing your nail polish at least once a week and showing them some love.

Shaving your legs more often. Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean that you can become Bigfoot or a walking cactus.

Maintaining your nails in tip top shape. If it’s a pet peeve I have it is chipped nails/chipped nail polish.  If you see that you have a chip just retouch that single nail! Don’t go out with chipped nails, it’s tacky.

Use a clarifying shampoo at least once a month. We put our hair through hell almost on a daily basis. Clean up all that gunk with a clarifying shampoo.

Go without makeup. Keeping a fresh face is important in helping you have the best skin possible. Be brave and go out without makeup, you have no idea how liberating it is at times.

Try new makeup trends. There are a lot of new trends coming out from bold colors to appliqués, be brave, and try one!

Brush teeth a minimum of twice a day. I know some of you don’t carry your toothbrush with you, and that’s ok, just make it a point to at least brush and floss twice a day, even if that’s just in the morning and before going to bed.

Never, ever, EVER go to sleep with your makeup on. No matter how drunk or tired you are.

Try fun braids. If your hair is long enough to braid it, try it, it’s fun, simple, and super easy for a chic do!

Exfoliate your body at least twice a month. Want to have super silky smooth beach skin ready? 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1.5 tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix completely together and use while in the bath. Your skin will glow and will feel amazing. Thank me later.

Drink a lot of water. A lot. Water helps us get rid of the toxins in our body and promote healthier skin. We all want that.

Exercise more often. Not a gym rat? That’s fine, just get in the habit of working out a minimum of 3 times a week for 20 minutes, you will see results.

Eat healthier. This is very self explanatory.

What are you goals and resolutions?
