Another week has gone by and we have fully welcomed February ladies… where is the time going? And as the newly established Instagram Friday’s #ThatFace I want to introduce you to someone you should be following on Instagram.

This makeup artist is talented, very talented. She has mastered the art of contouring and highlighting a face wonderfully. I’m sure a lot of you have seen this picture

I’m talking about none other than Glam_Her_Booth‘s Elsy Anthonijsz. She is from Chicago, and as much digging as I did online, I unfortunately don’t know how long she’s been doing makeup for, but I will go ahead and assume that she’s been doing for quite some and definitely perfected contouring and highlighting.

In some of her posts she notes that there is being a lot of makeup being applied to the model because it is for either a special occasion or the model is having a lot of photographs being taken.  And she’s right, this type of makeup should only be worn for special occasions and not for everyday wear. What I love about her talent is that with her posts you can almost learn by just watching each photo how to contour your own face and highlight it. Take a look at some of her work below.

I’m sure a lot of you have seen this and probably have tried to replicate it, don’t worry, I tried too!

This last pictures really shows how she does her makeup. Now, it appears as if she’s wearing a lot of makeup, but if you pay close attention you can see that it actually isn’t a lot and she blends everything and it becomes a soft contour.

Ms. Elsy, thank you for your amazing talents and for sharing it with us fellow makeup artists and makeup enthusiast. Your contouring has a lot of us wanting to do the same and for that you deserve #ThatFace recognition.

What do you guys think of her work? Have you tried to contour your face like this after seeing her posts?
