I am so sleepy, thank God it is Thursday and that it’s only one more day for the weekend to be here! So I just realized that Summer technically starts in less than like what, 3, 4 days?  Maybe because I live in Arizona it feels like Summer has been here since early May.  With the kind of temperatures that will be coming soon, it is important that many of us have change some of our foundations from really heavy to more light but with great coverage… and YSL is bringing that to us with their new foundation.

Leave it to an iconic brand like YSL to introduce to us this new Le Teint Encre de Peau.  This liquid makeup foundation will be available to us come July.  It’s been in the works for quite some time.  Their creative director Lloyd Simmonds has been working with 5 versions of this foundation for close to a year and half and played with it’s formula until the finished product is what we have now.

This makeup is being marketed as light weight and long-wearing and the texture completely different.  This has a natural looking, mattifying effect on the skin which doesn’t make the skin look caked on or dry.  It is a more matte finish liquid foundation compared to the other YSL foundations which have a bit of more radiance.  This foundation lasts all day and was also created with fashion shows in mind.  Models normally tend to be ready close to 4 hours before the show actually start and their makeup is still very well put.

This I will definitely try right after my Chanel makeup runs out.  It seems to be perfect for those that have combination skin as it is not heavy but still get great coverage.  It makes me feel like this is a very similar formulation to Chanel’s Lumiere Perfection Velvet Foundation but we’ll see that once that time comes.  Will any of you ladies be considering to purchase this?  I’m sure the price is going to be on the high side, but if it is true to it’s word, this is going to be one of those cult obsessed foundations that we will need to have at least once in our lives.  What do you dolls think?
