Tom Ford just came out with guns blazing! Let me explain: Tom Ford has always been an innovator in the fashion industry, but now that they’ve dipped their hands fully in the beauty industry the ravings haven’t stopped and this collection might rival some of the best collections out there now.
The entire collection features products that are to sculpt and illuminate and contour your features. I’m excited about this line!
What separates this beauty line from the others? Well their new Traceless Perfecting Foundation SPF 15 is said to provide a natural finish and the formula is said to be very long lasting as well as humidity resistant. Humidity. Resistant. The beauty gods are answering prayers!!!
Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation SPF 15, $80.00
The formula includes Tom Ford’s Infusing Complex that smooths and renews your skin while fighting signs of aging. Its a medium to full coverage and it is buildable as well.
Tom Ford Correcting Pen, $44.00
This pen is available in only 3 shades and it’s easy to blend out. One end is pink based to neutralize your under eye dark circles while the pointed tip side is a yellow concealer to conceal any of your flaws, plus it brightens up your face almost instantly.
Contouring Cheek Color Duos, $77.00
This will only be available in two shades, Soft Core and Stroked (very lovely names 😉 ) and it is a limited edition contouring palette. It has a highlighter in a pearlescent shade and the darker shade is matte and super blendable. It’s a powder but applies like a cream. Interesting!
Tom Ford Lip Color, $50.00
Tom Ford Extreme Mascara, $44.00
The lip color is limited edition and only comes in Negligee and Twist of Fate which are both very neutral colors as shown above.
The mascara is limited edition as well and it comes in Mocha Rush which is a pearlized bronze color.
The line is available now at all of your high end department stores like Saks, Nordstrom, and online.
Ok so let me give you my two cents here… I’m very tempted in trying out the foundation, concealer, correcting pen and the contouring blush palettes. My only problem? The price is just above and beyond to what I would normally spend on makeup. It is steep, even for me. But I can’t deny that it has caught my attention completely. So what I’ll do is go and give it a test at their beauty counter. If I end up falling in love and must have then I’ll do a purchase. I just have a feeling that the correcting pen will give YSL a run for its money! What do you all think? Too pricey?
