Hi! It’s Tuesday! At least Monday has come and gone and we can now all start being semi productive in our week. We all know that Pantone already announced the color of the year, Marsala 18-1438, but the question is: have you seen it’s diversity? Me neither, so lets see it together!

Sephora and Pantone introduced the color and their assortments of cosmetics for the eyes, lips, and cheeks.  The shade is to be complex and robust and this year thee are innovative textures, finishes, and limited edition collections that are redefining the neutral with dimension, shifting it’s intensity from boldly pigmented to modestly sheer.

Marsala is a robust and earthy wine red, just like the wine…. and here’s the collection:

Facets of Marsala Multi-Finish Eye Palette
This palette is limited edition and it will cost you $39.00. The palette contains matte, glitter, pearl, and shimmer finishes in 24 shades that all compliment this year’s color.

A dramatic color effect along with moisturizing and volumizing mascara that can be used on both lashes and brows.  This mascara is vitamin enriched and it contains natural Jojoba oil and a blend of soft waxes to keep your lashes healthy.  This will cost you $20.00.

Marsala Metalshine Liquid Liner
This is a long wearing liquid liner that delivers a bold swipe at the lash line with a striking metallic finish.  This will cost you $18.00.

Marsala Layering Lip Collection

Cooling Marsala Multi
This lightly-pigmented balm cools on contact while delivering a sheer wash of flattering Marsala and it can be used on your cheeks, contouring, and highlighting.  It’s also caffeine and coconut oil based stick that adds moisture while de-puffing and cooling on contact. This will cost you $25.00.

Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio
This compact contains two matte blushes in Marsala paired with a cream highlighter. It is triple milled so they are super pigmented, luxurious, velvety texture will be a dream to apply.  This will cost you $28.00.

Pure Marsala Matte Lip Crème
This gorgeous hue is formulated with oils and resveratrol, which is derived from red wine grapes and it’s an anti-aging ingredient. This will cost you $18.00.

All of these collections are of course limited editions, so if one of these catches your eye be sure to pick them up!  This color is beautiful and I feel like it would look absolutely stunning and gorgeous on more deeper color skin tones.  I just feel like this color would be a bit harsh on someone with really light skin complexion, but I may be wrong, that’s just my opinion.

What do you guys think of the line? Do you like the color?
