Hello Dolls!!!! It is Friday and I’m sure you’re all happy about it, just as I am!!! This week just felt like it flew by! It feels like yesterday was barely Wednesday and now, it’s Friday, lol, I’m not complaining though 😉 Today’s featured Makeup Artist is the Director of Makeup Artistry of one of our favorite brands: MAC.

This handsome, uber talented man is none other than Gregory Arlt.

Gregory has been in the industry for over 20 years. With a background in art history, he started his makeup career at Fred Segal and then began started working at MAC in 1993, as a travelling makeup artist and then evolved into a Trainer, Senior Makeup Artist, and now, he’s currently the Director of Makeup Artistry.

This year he won the prestigious Hollywood Beauty Award  for Best Makeup Artist. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the industry like Victoria Beckham, Cher, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, and Mary J. Blige to name a few.

Here’s why he deserves that award:

As you can see, all of his work is extremely clean and beautiful. This is what makes makeup artists stand out and Mr. Arlt does it exceptionally. With his master classes he teaches many of us how to hone in our craft and artistry to create just as beautiful applications. Many of us have probably recreated many of his looks without even knowing that they were his work, that’s how you inspire artists and that’s what we should all strive to! Thank you!
