It officially is Taco Tuesday and 5 de Mayo! Now, as a first generation Mexican-American, sometimes I wonder why the US celebrates this day just as how we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and I’ve come to one single conclusion that is above all: tacos, beers, tequila, chips and salsa, and guacamole. That’s it lol ;). A healthy flush on the cheeks is considered to be youthful, well many a times, our blush only stays put for the first better half of the day, but Urban Decay is here to change that with their new blushes! With Summer practically here, we need a blush formula that will actually stay on our cheeks all day long to give us that healthy glow. Enter Urban Decay’s Afterglow 8-hour Blush! This is a new blush line that features 12 shades that range from peach to purple to a beautiful plum.  The finish of them are more of a satin matte finish and not really shimmery, but not fully matte either. They have more of a luminosity to them, which is a lot more noticeable on some shades than other. Afterglow has a soft, creamy texture that always applies beautifully, and with a blendable finish they provide 8 hours of wearable streak-free color.

The packing is quite awesome, if you ask me. With a mirrored casing and with the “UD” being cut out,  you’re able to see the blush color itself.

Here are the shades:

Bittersweet
Fetish
Rapture
Obsessed
Quickie
Crush
Score
Quiver
Indecent
Kinky

Bang
As you can see the brighter shades are super pigmented but they don’t go on as pigmented, these blushes are to be built upon, so the more you apply, the more brighter it will be.  Each blush will cost you $26.00 and you can get them on Urban Decay online, Sephora, Ulta, and any high end department store.

So the collection has been out for about 2 weeks, who has picked these up? How are you liking them? Is their staying power as true as they claim? Let me know!

xoxo
Lola
