Oh em gee! It’s already the middle of the week! Time is definitely flying by and somehow I just want it to slow down a bit, I’m not ready to face the weekend yet. Weird, I know. We obviously all know that there are a lot of contouring palettes out there and most of them out of our league, but do not fret because NYX has released their own palette and you won’t be disappointed!Define your features like a pro with this refillable highlight and contour palette! Each set includes 8 customizable highlighting and contouring shades perfect for emphasizing your favorite features. When it’s time to swap out a pan or two you can refill it with the palette’s Pro Singles as well.

The palette contains 4 highlighting shades and 4 contour/bronzing shades with a wide variety of finishes from satiny to matte.

Ice Queen
This is a pearly pale white shade works great on fairer skin tones as it adds an amazing glow with a shimmer finish but it does not emphasize the pores.

Soft Light
This is a matte nude slightly warmer undertone with a matte finish that gives also an amazing glow on medium to olive skin tones.

This is a matte soft yellow, what we call “Ben Nye Banana setting powder” which is perfect to dust under your eyes to set and brighten your concealer.

This is a pearly soft peach, rich golden champagne shade that looks gorgeous on deeper skin tones. It ads warmth and if you tan, this would look great to wear with it, plus it’s more of a satiny finish than matte.

This matte soft brown with slight red undertones works better as an all over dusting of bronzer than used concentrated to actually contour your face. It’ll work better to add warmth than contouring.

This matte neutral brown is a tad bit cooler than Tan but it still has warmth to it, you can use this to slightly contour your face or to give it a very light definition using a fan brush.

This is a matte taupe, cool toned ashy brown and is the perfect one to contour. This shade mimics almost the natural shadows of your face.

This matte deep brown is rich and intense and the deepest color in the palette. It is not too orange and you can use this to intensify your contour and perfect for deeper skin tones.

Each palette will cost you $25.00 and you can find it at Ulta, Target, NYX online, and at some drugstores. Also you can purchase additional singles in different shades, check them out below
Each single will cost you $5.00 and they’re also all available now.

What do you guys think? Honestly, this palette reminds me A LOT of It’s Cosmetic’s contouring palette but much more affordable! Also I saw a lot of comparison’s to Kat Von D’s contouring palette and calling it as good. Plus, you can customize it to your preference, although it comes with those colors now, you can also just switch them out if you’re not using some of them. Will I be purchasing? Yes, yes I will be, so stay tuned for my review on it!
