Happy Friday! Today is the annual Zulu Ball and I’m going to be a super busy artist! I actually can’t wait though!!! Zulu Ball here in New Orleans is the biggest ball in the city, where close to 50,000 people all dressed in gowns and tuxedos get together to enjoy good music, good food, and best of all Mardi Gras. Not only that, but it’s the Year of the Monkey and MAC is celebrating this as well! The inquisitive, clever, magnetic, quick-witted people born under the Year of the Monkey foster good fortune. To celebrate the New Year, MAC toasts this charmed sign with a collection of lively shades and flickering finishes inspired by the drama of Chinese opera. Start your new year with a new look.
Penultimate Eye Liner
This is a brand blush in Modern Mandarin which is a satin red orange and it will cost you $22.00.
The liquid eye liner is a repromote of Rapidblack and that will cost you $21.00.
The eye shadows in the collection are Mylar which is a creamy white satin shimmer; Goldmine which is an intense gold with shimmer frost; Carbon which is an intense matte black. These are all part of the permanent collection and will cost you $16.00.
The lipsticks are all also part of the permanent collection of lipsticks which are Frou which is soft beige with silver shimmer glaze, See Sheer which is a grapefruit pink lustre, Lady Danger which is a matte vivid bright coral red, and Russian Red which is an intense matte bluish red. Each will cost you $17.00.
The collection will be available on the 24th of January online at MAC and available at MAC stores on the 25th of January.
Eh… I think this line is leaving a lot to be desired. All of the products are just repromotes and there is nothing really new added to the collection. Many of you most likely have all of these products and guess what? I guess we’ve had this collection for quite a while, we just didn’t know it!
